According to Guinness World Records, the longest goal was scored from 91.9 meters. Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic achieved this in 2013 for Stoke City. In a match against Southampton, Begovic threw the ball long with his hand. Strong wind carried it, it bounced once at midfield and surprised opposing goalkeeper Artur Boruc. Ball went in. Begovic was surprised: "When the ball left my hand, all I thought about was getting back to defend. Then I saw it was in."
